Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. Many clients choose private pay for the flexibility and privacy it offers. Upon request, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
What are your fees and session lengths?
Initial intake session (90 minutes): $175
Standard sessions (60 minutes): $145
Payment is due at the time of service. I accept credit, debit, or HSA cards.
Each session is customized to your goals, with time for reflection, practical tools, and emotional processing.
Do you offer in-person, online, or walk-and-talk sessions?
Yes! I offer in-person counseling at my North Raleigh office and teletherapy for clients anywhere in North Carolina.
For those who prefer a more experiential approach, Walk-and-Talk Therapy is also available. Before beginning, we’ll discuss logistics and review a brief form that outlines the natural confidentiality limitations of meeting outdoors. If you're interested, I’m happy to walk you through exactly how it works.
Virtual sessions are fully HIPAA-compliant and a great option for clients who need convenience, privacy, or scheduling flexibility.
Do you work with couples?
Absolutely. I specialize in couples counseling using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Relational Life Therapy (RLT).
I help couples:
Rebuild trust after betrayal or infidelity
Improve communication and connection
Prepare for marriage through premarital counseling
Each session focuses on fostering empathy, understanding patterns, and creating a more secure emotional bond.
Do you work with individuals?
Yes. I also work with individuals who are navigating:
Relationship anxiety or attachment struggles
Difficulty setting personal boundaries
People-pleasing tendencies
Grief over unmet life expectations or transitions
Through evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Relational Life Therapy, I help clients develop self-awareness, resilience, and authentic connection.
Do you offer Christian counseling?
Yes. I provide counseling from a Christian perspective that is Biblically sound and evidence-based upon request.
Faith is integrated respectfully and at your comfort level—whether you want to explore spiritual growth, incorporate prayer, or simply align your values with your healing process.
How do I know if we’re a good fit?
I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your goals, answer questions, and determine whether we’re a good match for therapy. This allows you to learn more about my approach and decide if it feels right for you.
How long does therapy take?
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and circumstances. Some clients find clarity in a few months, while others choose to engage in deeper, long-term work to sustain meaningful change.
Where are you located?
I see clients in person in North Raleigh and offer telehealth sessions across North Carolina, including Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, and surrounding areas.
